Singapore Cancer Society – Relay for Life 2026

Singapore Cancer Society

Singapore, 22 March 2026 – On 22 March 2026, Asian Tigers Team Zephyra came together for a 12km walk along the Southern Rail Corridor in support of the Singapore Cancer Society’s Relay for Life 2026.

It was a bright morning, and the lush, sheltered trail offered welcome shade as the team set out together. For a group used to coordination, teamwork, and steady forward movement, the walk felt meaningful from the start. But as the morning unfolded, it became clear that this was about more than distance. It was about solidarity, encouragement, and the quiet strength that comes from showing up for one another.

Walking with Purpose

For many of us, walking 12km is a test of stamina. For others, it is a reminder of what the body can do when the mind is set on something bigger than comfort. On this day, both were true.

The team walked in support of a cause that touches countless families, friends, and colleagues. Cancer changes routines, reshapes priorities, and asks a great deal of the people it affects. Support can take many forms. Sometimes it is medical care. Sometimes it is practical help. And sometimes, it is simply standing beside someone and taking the next step with them.

That spirit was present throughout the walk. The pace was unhurried, the conversation was easy, and the mood carried a mix of reflection and gratitude. The route itself offered a chance to be present, to talk, to listen, and to appreciate the company of colleagues from across the wider Asian Tigers family, including our sister company, Silk Relo.

Rosemary’s Example

One moment stood out above all others.

Our colleague Rosemary joined the walk just a fortnight after completing her last round of chemotherapy, after more than a year of gruelling treatment. She was still dealing with physical weakness and mental fatigue, yet she woke up, laced up, and came out to walk with the team.

That kind of courage does not need embellishment. It speaks for itself.

Rosemary reminded all of us that resilience is not always loud. Sometimes it looks like getting up on a difficult morning and deciding to move anyway. Sometimes it looks like putting one foot in front of the other, even when every step asks more than it gives. Her presence gave the team a deeper sense of purpose, and it brought the meaning of the day into sharp focus.

We are grateful to her for reminding us what determination looks like in practice, and for showing that strength can be both personal and shared.

Why This Cause Matters

Relay for Life is about more than fundraising. It is about community, remembrance, hope, and support for those affected by cancer. The event creates a space where people can walk, reflect, honour loved ones, and contribute to the wider effort of care and advocacy.

For Team Zephyra, taking part in Relay for Life 2026 was a chance to do something small but sincere. It was a way to recognise the people and families who live with cancer every day, and to contribute to a cause that matters deeply to many in Singapore and beyond.

The team had set out to complete 12km, but the route had to be cut short due to a trail blockage at Bukit Merah. Even so, the walk remained meaningful. In some ways, the change in route only reinforced the spirit of the day. The distance mattered, but the intention mattered more. The support mattered more. The shared effort mattered more.

That is often how community work feels. It does not need to be perfect to be valuable. It needs to be genuine.

The Culture Behind the Walk

At Asian Tigers, we work in a business that depends on trust, reliability, and care. As a moving company, we know that every relocation has a human side. Behind every shipment is a person, a family, or a business navigating change. Behind every instruction is a set of hopes, deadlines, and responsibilities. And behind every successful move are movers who understand that service is not just about logistics. It is about people.

That same mindset carries into how we show up for causes outside the office.

Whether the work involves relocation, storage, or international moving support, the values remain consistent. We listen carefully. We coordinate thoughtfully. We try to reduce stress wherever we can. Those habits matter in our daily work, and they also matter when we come together for something larger than ourselves.

The Relay for Life walk reflected that culture well. The team supported one another, moved together, and made space for conversation along the way. There was no rush to get to the end. There was only the steady rhythm of walking, encouraging, and being present.

For Team Zephyra, that made the morning especially rewarding. Beyond the walk itself, it was a chance to connect with one another, meet new colleagues, and take part in something that felt both personal and communal.

Thank You to Our Supporters

The team also successfully raised over $3,000 in support of the cause, and that would not have been possible without the generosity of our donors.

To everyone who contributed, thank you. Your support helped turn a team walk into something with broader impact. It helped turn a morning of effort into a meaningful gesture of care. And it reminded us that when people choose to give, the effect reaches far beyond the event itself.

We are also thankful for the chance to walk alongside colleagues from Silk Relo. Moments like these are a reminder that strong relationships are built not only through work, but through shared purpose.

Looking Ahead

Relay for Life 2026 gave us a chance to pause, reflect, and move with intention. It gave us a reason to recognise courage in a very human form. And it gave us another reminder that community support is strongest when it is lived, not just spoken.

Rosemary’s example will stay with us. So will the generosity of our donors, the support of our colleagues, and the spirit of the team that showed up on the day.

At Asian Tigers, we believe the way we move through the world matters, whether we are helping a family relocate, supporting storage needs, or standing beside a cause that deserves our attention. Walking with purpose is one way to live that belief.
