The Asian Tigers Group Masters in Scotland
Asian Tigers Group had the distinct honor of hosting the ATG Masters golf event across two classic links golf courses in the birthplace of golf, St Andrews, Scotland. For the first time in history, the ATG Masters ventured outside of Asia, and the event turned out to be an extraordinary success.
With just under fifty players, the turnout was impressive for an offshore tournament, making it an intimate yet highly competitive gathering. With official play across The Kittocks and Kingbards, players were treated to breathtaking views of the coast and immaculate greens in the home of the sport. The Fairmont St. Andrews served as our base camp, where all activities, including exquisite dinners and social events, were held. The stunning views and luxurious surroundings provided the perfect backdrop for this special occasion.
The competition was fierce, but the atmosphere was one of camaraderie and celebration. Despite our expectations of challenging Scottish weather, we were met with a delightful surprise—perfect, windless (by Scottish standards) conditions more akin to San Diego than Scotland.
The tournament saw some exciting play, with Bill Paxton taking home the top honors. The runner-up, Wolfgang Makurat, a long-time veteran of the industry and a familiar face at many of the Asian Tigers Masters tournaments, demonstrated his seasoned skills once again.
The event was captured in a series of stunning images, highlighting the joy and excitement shared by everyone at the event. For more highlights from the event and to see how we celebrated this historic occasion, stay tuned to our social media channels.
