Asian Tigers China Empower the 2026 Asian Forum

On May 21, the 2026 Asian Forum was held in Beijing under the theme “Evolve Through Change.” Co-organised by the Office of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region in Beijing and the Hong Kong Chamber of Commerce in China, the forum brought together nearly 400 leaders from 12 countries and regions.

In a year where cross border planning can shift quickly, that theme resonated. Change can arrive through policy, market conditions, technology, and the personal decisions that shape careers and families. In the global mobility industry, we see that up close. Every relocation represents a transition that needs calm coordination, clear communication, and respect for the people living it.

Bringing Hong Kong and the Mainland Business Community Closer

Events like the Asian Forum help deepen mutual understanding and create practical pathways for collaboration. With representatives from government, chambers, and companies in the room, conversations can move beyond high level intent and into partnerships that translate into real outcomes.

That evening, the Chamber’s 33rd Anniversary Gala welcomed more than 500 guests. In a video speech, HKSAR Chief Executive Mr John Lee recognised the Chamber’s bridging role. It was a reminder that strong networks are not built in a single meeting. They are maintained through consistent engagement, shared standards, and a willingness to work together through change.

Programme highlights that supported connection

The forum was supported by activities designed to help participants build relationships.

On May 20, a welcome dinner and city tour offered space for informal conversation and cultural exchange. On May 21, participants also joined a business site visit, adding practical context to the day’s discussions.

Why Industry Engagement Matters in Global Mobility

We are a moving company, but our work is fundamentally about enabling continuity. When people and organisations move, what they need most is confidence that the details will be handled with care.

International mobility touches many stakeholders at once, including employers, building management, customs processes, and partner networks in origin and destination markets. Industry forums help align expectations across those stakeholders, so moves can be managed with consistency and professionalism.

Employees and Families Joining as One Team

For clients, collaboration shows up in practical ways. It means smoother handovers, clearer communication, and fewer surprises. It also supports shared commitments around ethics, safety, and quality, which matters because a move often involves a family’s most personal belongings and a company’s critical timelines.

When our leadership participates in industry dialogue and our teams contribute behind the scenes, it strengthens the broader ecosystem that makes global mobility possible.

A Shared Standard of Professionalism, Service, and Accountability

At Asian Tigers, professionalism means doing the basics exceptionally well, every time.

It means experienced movers who pack with precision and respect for each client’s home and belongings. It means planning that is transparent and realistic. It means delivering on commitments and communicating early when conditions change.

It also means offering practical solutions, including secure storage when timelines do not align. Whether a family is waiting for a lease to begin, or a company needs a staged transition, storage provides breathing room without compromising security.

The Value of Being Present

Supporting events like the Asian Forum is part of how we stay connected to the communities we serve. It helps us listen to what business leaders are prioritising, understand the challenges companies are navigating, and anticipate how mobility needs are evolving.

That awareness feeds back into how we design and deliver relocation services, whether the assignment is local, regional, or international.

Evolving Through Change, What It Looks Like in Practice

The theme “Evolve Through Change” is relevant to every organisation, including those of us working in international moving and relocation.

We continue to refine how we plan, communicate, and execute moves across borders. We look for ways to reduce friction for clients, while protecting quality and compliance. We collaborate with partners who share our standards and we learn from forums that bring diverse perspectives into one room.

As the 15th Five Year Plan period begins, Asian Tigers China will continue to uphold professionalism, align with national strategies, and support enterprises that are expanding steadily into global markets. We believe in progress that is responsible and built through partnership.

Staying People First During Major Transitions

Even in a business setting, mobility is personal. A move can represent a promotion, a new assignment, a return home, or a fresh start. Our role is to make that transition smoother, more predictable, and less stressful.

That is why we value forums that reinforce collaboration and the human side of cross border work. Strong relationships, clear standards, and a culture of service are what allow global mobility to function, even when circumstances change.

Thank you to Organisers, Partners, and Volunteers

We extend our congratulations to everyone who contributed to the 2026 Asian Forum and to the Hong Kong Chamber of Commerce in China on its 33rd anniversary milestone. We are honoured to support initiatives that strengthen partnership across the international community.
