Asian Tigers at 2025 Shanghai British Day: Tent & Popcorn Spark Joy!

Asian Tigers Group exists to provide transportation services that build communities while creating happy moments for the people in our service areas. This commitment was on full display on a bright and cheerful day in Shanghai, as we proudly joined the British Chamber of Commerce Shanghai for the Great British Day Out 2025, held at the vibrant campus of Dulwich College Shanghai Pudong. 

Marking a remarkable 110th anniversary for BritCham Shanghai, this year’s celebration was nothing short of spectacular, and Asian Tigers was thrilled to be a part of it once again. 

A Legacy of Connection: 110 Years of BritCham Shanghai

The Great British Day Out has long been a staple of Shanghai’s international community calendar. This year, the event was particularly meaningful as it celebrated over a century of business and cultural ties between the UK and Shanghai. The event brought together Sports Day enthusiasm with British festival traditions to establish a celebration which brought together expatriates with locals and families and professionals through mutual enjoyment and multicultural friendship. 

Asian Tigers China viewed this sponsorship as a chance to demonstrate our identity which extends past our box-packing operations. The team members brought their usual energy to the event by distributing a small snack. to the day’s festivities and proudly stood out with our signature yellow tents, vibrant team spirit, and free fresh popcorn that delighted both kids and adults alike. 

Our Tent: A Pop of Yellow and a Whole Lot of Joy

If you were anywhere near the event grounds, chances are you spotted our bright yellow Asian Tigers tent right away. The building became an instant landmark because of its colorful appearance and because many people from various backgrounds visited the site. 

The team members handed out complimentary popcorn throughout the day under sunny weather and musical background to spread happiness through every single piece of popcorn. The smell of popcorn that smelled like butter brought back memories of fun fairs, movie nights, and shared moments with others. The basic dessert represented all the essential elements which make these gatherings special through its ability to unite people in meaningful ways. 

Our popcorn stand evolved into something beyond its original purpose as a snack vendor. The space developed into a community center which received families and functioned as an entry point for newcomers while providing a platform for people to learn about our activities. The Asian Tigers approach to our event involved both promotion activities and active participation and relationship building.

Sports, Smiles, and Shared Experiences

This year’s British Day carried a delightful Sports Day vibe: with games and competitions designed for all ages. Children raced in sack races and tug-of-war events, while parents cheered them on from the sidelines. The teams competed in cricket and rugby matches which brought out enthusiastic cheers and unorganized applause from the spectators. 

Our booth maintained a peaceful yet energetic environment which enabled visitors to relax by eating and interacting with our staff. Asian Tigers enjoyed watching families unite with each other while new friendships developed and community spirit flourished which aligns with our core values.

Asian Tigers provides international relocation services but our main strength comes from our people-oriented approach to moving. The people we meet during relocation create genuine meaning in the process of moving from one location to another.

Our attendance at British Day served two purposes because we wanted to be seen while also actively participating in the event. We exchanged more than promotional materials because we also shared laughter, smiles, and received parenting advice from other participants. Our team was on hand to answer questions about relocating to or from China, discuss pet relocation, customs support, storage solutions, and more. 

Multiple people visited to inform us that they had observed our trucks operating in their residential areas and some of them had previously used our moving services. Hearing their stories and receiving their thanks reaffirmed why we do what we do. 

Our relocation specialists perform more than physical moves because they assist people in their life transitions through professional services and personal attention. And we take immense pride in being part of people’s important life transitions.
