Time 9:00am – 1:00pm
Venue Nichada Thani, The Expatriate Town of Thailand
The Asian Tigers Group was enthusiastic to co-sponsor its annual householders’ favorite event, the Flower Arrangement Workshop of 2019, again this year. This was well executed with the largest expat community in Nykata Tani and Nonthaburi, NNR, and most enjoyably, the floristry professionals guided the art of flower arrangement.
This workshop aspires to provide the fusion of unique experiences between the two different cultures through understanding how to make beautiful flower arrangements with the two styles of both the Thai and Western styles. With this sponsorship, we make it clear that we engage in activities that are geared towards supporting community engagement and cultural exchange in order to foster togetherness between the expatriate and local communities.
It was with great big thank you to Asian Tigers Group, Thailand, for holding the continuous involvement and support. The workshop was located in a very spacious area and furnished greatly, with a great display of fresh flowers in many different vibrant colors. The atmosphere was charged with anticipation and excitement as the participants started to arrive, eager to learn how to create.
Experts in the field guided the participants in flower arrangement, considering different tips and techniques for mixing and matching flowers through their valuable knowledge and experience. There were two sections of the workshop on Thai and Western styles that allowed participants to feel the distinct features and aesthetics of each craze.
The florists gave demonstrations on classic Thai floral design techniques in the first show. They explained the cultural meanings of the flowers and foliage used, and it showed the deep contents of traditional Thai cultural communication. Participants would be directed in making exploratory combinations, befitting the elegance, and harmonious typical features of Thai floral art.
The next session exposed the group to Western-style flower arrangements, where various techniques in making balanced bouquets and symmetrical arrangements were shown. The arrangements in Western floral design went about color harmony, texture, and form, wherein other subtly integrating factors complemented. The practical experience empowered the participants to make stunning floral arrangements themselves to take back home.
Throughout the entire workshop, the atmosphere was filled with ingenuity and a bonhomie. Expatriates and locals exchanged pleasantries, creating a world within themselves where both of them found a common interest and love for flower decoration and arrangement. Reiteration of Asian Tigers Group, the representatives from Thailand, has pointed out the commitment of the company in the engagement with cultures and the support shown for the community.
Supporting the Flower Arrangement Workshop was a sponsorship not only for creative expression but also provided the well-being of participants who live in the communities of Nichada Thani and Nonthaburi. Their sponsorship made the event more available for both residents and tourists, contributing to the town’s cultural life.
The workshop ended with a display of participants’ products: different kinds of stunning floral pieces made over the two-day event. They left smiling, satisfied, and educated, holding their new accessories meant for their houses.
In general, not quite different from such typical workshops, the 2019 Flower Arrangement Workshop, sponsored by Asian Tigers Group, Thailand, remains one of the most successful events ever held at all. The event outlined the company’s commitment to cultural exchange and community involvement. It reunited with professionals in flower decoration and enthusiasts in celebrating the art of flower arrangement, either Thai or Western style. The event was well received, and very happy indeed—proof that only supports how much such a community event this region is. Asian Tigers, Thailand, is very happy to be a part of this important event in the community of Nichada Thani, contributing to the building of important relationships in Nonthaburi.
