Detailed Overview
Introduction
Through a meaningful project to support healthcare in a faraway area in June 2019, Asian Tigers Group Thailand once again manifested its social responsibility. This activity relocated necessary medical equipment, specifically a patient bed, from the house of one customer to Wang Sam Mor Hospital in Udon Thani Province, which is about 475 kilometers away from Bangkok. This not only exhibited commitment to corporate community service but also brought out the role of corporate entities in modern society with respect to strengthening public health facilities.
Background
Asian Tigers Group is a known brand in the relocation and moving business, with generations of history in CSR activities. The programs are such that they are meant to give back to society in areas where the company operates. They uphold the very essence of caring, service, and social responsibility which is inherent in the policies. June 2019 is one among a host of initiatives they have engaged in to positively contribute towards society beyond the regular business activities.
The Project
This was a CSR project mainly aimed at assisting Wang Sam Mor Hospital, donating a much-needed part of its medical equipment—a patient bed. The bed was actually contributed by one of the Asian Tigers Group customers, representing the company’s cooperative vision with the clients in terms of answering key needs in areas that are more remote. The project was logistically complex, with distance involved and the perfect arrival condition of the equipment to be ensured.
Execution
This project required very serious planning and coordination. Drawing on years of moving and logistics experience, Asian Tigers Group ensured a very smooth process. From the delicate packing of the bed to its long-distance move on bad terrains, the team worked hard day and night to handle the equipment with utmost care so that it was safely delivered to Wang Sam Mor Hospital.
Impact
When delivered to Wang Sam Mor Hospital, the medical staff expressed their sincerest gratitude. This would be an addition to the many resources that would help the hospital to deliver better service to its patients with a new patient bed. Besides enhancing the capacity of hospitals to serve the community, such actions ignite other organizations and individuals’ power to contribute to such causes.
Community and Corporate Synergy
The CSR effort is an epitome of the partnership synergy between the corporation and the community. Within the Asian Tigers Group, there is a project, if not more, showing how businesses really can use their resources and competencies toward creating positive change. While engaging customers in CSR practices, Asian Tigers Group instills a sense of giving back and shared responsibility, promoting the formation of the ripple effect of good deeds and support in communities.
