Love the globe, Love the forest

Clients Carmen and Benoit Marcoux relocated from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia back home to Welland, Southern Ontario. A popular location being only 20 mins from the magnificent Niagara Falls. They already had a house there and completely unpacked their shipment. Plans though, to build their dream retirement Lakehouse were already underway. Construction started in spring 2015. They had chosen an idyllic spot in the village of Verner some 400kms north of Toronto. They moved everything, including repacking their Asian treasures in the crates they were transported in from Malaysia. Benoit Marcoux played right wing for the Ice Hockey side sponsored by Asian Tigers, so they were familiar with Asian Tiger family. Both Carmen and Benoit are creative and hands-on builders. This summer Benoit turned his hands to woodwork and created these wonderful Adirondack chairs, known as Muskoka chairs in Canada for the Lakehouse – he sensibly and ingeniously used the wooden crates. What a fantastic recycling job. They loved their time in Malaysia, traveling the region, collecting their treasures and sampling all the wonderful food. But they love being back home in Canada as they are closer to their three sons and four grandchildren.
