Running with a Purpose: Asian Tigers Malaysia Joins ‘Run for Tigers’ for Global Tiger Day 2025
In celebration of Global Tiger Day 2025, Asian Tigers Malaysia laced up their running shoes for a meaningful cause. A passionate team of Tigers and Tigresses participated in the “Run for Tigers” event, organized by WWF-Malaysia in partnership with Maybank, to show their ongoing commitment to wildlife conservation—especially for one of Malaysia’s most iconic and endangered species.
This annual run is more than a fitness challenge—it’s a call to action for tiger conservation. With fewer than 150 Malayan tigers remaining in the wild, the urgency to protect these majestic creatures has never been greater. The renewed 2024 partnership between WWF-Malaysia and Maybank focuses on protecting tiger habitats, restoring prey populations, involving local communities, and ensuring robust monitoring and enforcement to secure tiger territories.
By joining the run, every participant helped raise awareness and funds that directly support WWF-Malaysia’s tiger conservation work. But at Asian Tigers Group, our commitment doesn’t stop at participation.
Each year, we contribute USD 25,000 through our Tiger Action Fund to support WWF’s mission to protect wild tiger populations and restore their natural habitats. This long-term pledge reflects our belief that corporate responsibility includes safeguarding the biodiversity that makes our world extraordinary.
