Running for a Cause: Asian Tigers Malaysia at Run for Tigers 2026
For Asian Tigers Group, supporting tiger conservation has never just been a slogan or a seasonal initiative. It is a long‑standing commitment woven into our identity and reflected in the actions we take across the region. This is why participating in “Run for Tigers” each year holds special meaning for our Malaysian team, who joined thousands of runners to raise awareness, funds and support for wildlife conservation.
Organized by WWF-Malaysia in partnership with Maybank, “Run for Tigers” spotlights the urgent need to protect one of Malaysia’s most iconic and endangered species. With fewer than 150 Malayan tigers remaining in the wild, the call to action has never been more critical. The partnership focuses on protecting tiger habitats, restoring prey populations, involving local communities, and strengthening monitoring and enforcement to secure tiger territories for future generations.
This annual run is more than a fun run or a fitness challenge. It’s a collective effort to safeguard biodiversity and inspire public engagement. Once again, the run brought together participants of all ages and fitness levels, with our Malaysian team proudly taking on the 5KM and 10KM challenges. Each step symbolised our shared responsibility to protect wild tigers and the ecosystems they depend on, while also celebrating health, wellbeing and the power of community.
What stood out most throughout the morning was the spirit of togetherness. Our Tiger family ran side by side, encouraging one another, sharing smiles and celebrating every milestone. The camaraderie on the course was a reminder that meaningful change happens when people unite behind a common purpose.
At Asian Tigers Group, our commitment to conservation extends well beyond participation in events. Each year, we contribute USD 25,000 through our Tiger Action Fund to support WWF’s mission to protect wild tiger populations and restore their natural habitats. This long‑term pledge reflects our belief that corporate responsibility includes safeguarding the biodiversity that makes our world extraordinary.
As a company rooted in Asia, we understand the cultural and environmental significance of tigers.
