On November 30th, 2019, Asian Tigers Japan was proud to have sponsored the Tokyo Run – Run for The Cure®/Walk for Life 2019, which is a race committed to further raising breast cancer awareness in Japan. As one of the spirited annual events, the money to be raised is for community outreach programs by the Foundation, furthering the cause of education and support on breast cancer.

Community Engagement and Support

The Tokyo Run for The Cure®/Walk for Life is not merely a running event but more of a community initiative to spread awareness and raise support for breast cancer patients and survivors. It enlists people from all walks of life to get together and volunteer their efforts for a better cause. By sponsoring this event, Asian Tigers Japan explains the responsibility of corporations toward social welfare and community support.

Unique Contribution by the Asian Tigers Japan

The Asian Tigers Japan uniquely and practically contributed a truck that acted like a kind of cloakroom on wheels. The ingenious idea behind this was to offer some safe place for the runners and walkers to store coats or backpacks during the run or walk participation. It would therefore leave the attendees free, not worrying about their belongings in the event.

Importance of Breast Cancer Awareness

Breast cancer remains one of the most serious health problems worldwide, and awareness events like the Tokyo Run for The Cure®/Walk for Life have served to bring public attention to the various signs and symptoms and early detection and prevention methods. The funds raised from this event will be utilized for community outreach programs for the Foundation, such as educational seminars, screening programs, and support services for breast cancer patients and their families.

A Successful Event

The turnout at the event was very good among people willing to give to this fine cause. An enthusiastic crowd coupled with a helpful atmosphere—and the many sponsors that included Asian Tigers Japan—really made everything come together for a truly memorable day. From serious runners to casual walkers, participants really showed a strong will in the community to find a cure for this cancer.

Future Outlook

Asian Tigers Japan’s involvement in the Tokyo Run for The Cure®/Walk for Life 2019 sets a positive precedent for future corporate participation in similar events. Companies can make a critical difference in health awareness causes and have an actual, physical effect on the well-being of communities through their resources and presence. The success of the 2019 event paves the way for further collaboration and support over the coming years.

Conclusion

The 2019 Tokyo Run for The Cure®/Walk for Life, sponsored by Asian Tigers Japan, was a meaningful initiative to raise awareness of breast cancer and continue to support community programs. In this very regard, the ingenuity of the mobile cloakroom contribution made by Asian Tigers Japan improved the participants’ experience, underpinning the commitment of the company toward community service and corporate social responsibility. This event did not just raise valuable funds but also pulled the community together in the fight against breast cancer, thereby truly underpinning what collective efforts can achieve in such important health matters.
