Come Together to Celebrate Hari Merdeka

Food is a pillar of Malaysian culture, so what better way for AT Malaysia staff to celebrate Hari Merdeka, Malaysia’s Independence Day, than with a potluck lunch? This year Merdeka, marking 66 years since Malaysia gained official independence from the British, fell on a Friday. As Merdeka is an important public holiday, the staff celebration was held a day early, on Thursday 30 August. 

For multinational companies like Asian Tigers, Merdeka celebrations are an important annual company event. With a  very multicultural staff base, the variety of flavours on offer was truly mouth-watering, from sweet, to sour and a range of spicy local food. 

If you haven’t experienced a staff potluck, be sure to give it a go. It’s a great way to add some fun to the workplace and encourages everyone to connect over food.
