Asian Tigers Singapore is Now ISO/IEC 27001:2013 Certified for YOU!

14th May 2020, SINGAPORE – KC DAT (S) Pte Ltd (T/A “Asian Tigers Group”) in Singapore is pleased to announce that we have achieved our ISO/IEC 27001:2013 certification. The certification and audit were performed by SGS, the world’s leading inspection, verification, testing and certification company. As our commitment to our valued Clients, Customers and our Supply Chain Partners, we set out on this journey to keep their information and our data safe by implementing ISO/IEC 27001:2013 certification Information Security Management System (ISMS).

Prior to our journey, several Consultancy Firms invited to our RFP came surprised by our intent to pursue ISO/IEC 27001:2013. Our industry was just not amongst the businesses they will expect to see. And if any, the few that they know have fast trekked their journey by limiting their certification scope to just their IT Department since this is where data is anchored. Some of the Consulting Firms pitched on this limited scope strategy so that we can save on both time and money, essentially half the project time. In our niche business of relocating transferring employees and customers, PII (Personal Identifiable Information) transcends geographical boundaries through our supply chain. We deliberated and decided against the norm. We knew we have to do the right thing, the same that we have done in achieving our ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certification, and that is to go for the full scope of certification to cover all aspects of our business from Sales, to Move Management, to Operations, Warehouse, Marketing Communications, Human Resources, Finance and IT. By this, we have covered the widest scope possible in our business to include international, local and office moving services, as evinced by our SGS Certificate. 

In our security conscious world today, we recognise that data protection has to be at the core of all businesses for a business to be sustainable. This certification represents our on-going commitment to the confidentiality, integrity and availability of the information we have, and we will further improve the security of our (and our Customers) information assets as a result of our continuous improvement aspects of the standard. 

Today, we stand with a better alignment of our information security controls with the needs of our business and our customers. On behalf of our Management, we thank our ISO committee and everyone in the organisation in their commitment for this achievement, and more importantly, for their on-going dedication to safeguard and better what we have today in ISMS.
