The ice had to be broken by being friendly and open, making everybody less awkward and connected.

The main feature of the program was an informative presentation by Asian Tigers Singapore’s relocation experts. This talk covered a broad spectrum of issues vital for orientation purposes, including an overview of the culture in Singapore, local etiquette, and useful practical tips for everyday life. Such information on the good public transport system in the city, health facilities, and shopping and dining locations was made available to the participants. Further, the presentation enlightened the observers about local laws and regulations, hence making them confident in their new environment.

One of the real focuses of the Coffee Morning was the Q&A session with the relocation experts. Following the presentation, attendees had the opportunity to pose their questions and ask for advice on all matters relating to their relocation in Singapore. The experts gave practical solutions and shared useful resources that would have all attendees leave with a better understanding of their new home.

Refreshments included a spread of pastries and fruits, along with a few premium coffees. The atmosphere was relaxed, and many of the attendees continued to discuss what they had learned and share their experiences with others who were going through similar situations. To many newcomers, this intermingling proved invaluable in building a support network of friends.

Welcome packs, inclusive of essential information about Singapore, maps, and telephone contacts of various services, had also been provided by the Asian Tigers Singapore. Such packs have been thoughtfully compiled to be of practical help in making the transition to life in Singapore smoother and more enjoyable.
