The Kuala Lumpur Highland Games 2016 now becomes part of the major social calendar in Kuala Lumpur, with participants and spectators coming from the entire region to grace the event. Held at the lush grounds of Bukit Kiara Equestrian & Country Resort, this annual celebration includes the performance of a variety of traditional Scottish games and activities. This event brings so much vibrancy and color and therefore places Kuala Lumpur’s rich cultural tapestry right before the eyes of the public.

Asian Tigers Group Malaysia takes great pride in being a sponsor of this event, the truly unique event known as the Kuala Lumpur Highland Games 2016. This sponsorship reflects our honest genuflection to social events, those that bind peoples with an appreciation of diversity. Being a company well-steeped in community culture, we feel strongly about the role cultural events play in the activation of unity and pride in its residents. The concept of us being part of the games is not merely as sponsors, but it reflects our dedication to promoting cultural awareness and community participation.

In a show-stealing performance, our very own Ladies Tug-of-War Team did the talking. This energetic set of ladies represented Asian Tigers Group Malaysia and participated with great zeal and spirit in the competition. Among its features was a tug-of-war, where big crowds cheered their favorite teams. The uniformed teams under the Asian Tigers stripped uniform showed great teamwork and effort. We were there not only to compete but also to uphold the values of camaraderie and perseverance that the Asian Tigers Group is known for.

Indeed, the Lady Tug-of-War Team participation epitomized the team spirit drawn from our organization’s fabric. Games served as brilliant moments for our workforce to come together away from the hectic workplace, thus fostering stronger bonds and relationships. Our team, of course proud of the experience and a challenging process that went through, observed the fielding of immense support from fellow workers, family members, and the wider community.

The Kuala Lumpur Highland Games 2016 was a great event filled with activities not only appealing to you but to whoever you bring to the event. From caber tossing, hammer throws, and stone putts to pipe bands and Highland dancing, it was an all-compulsory event for the ages. There were so many food stalls that represented both Scottish and local delicacies, making the flavors mix and creating a harmonious satisfaction of the taste buds for those who participated.

There were, indeed, activities for everyone, ranging from children’s games to handloom demonstrations, and cultural exhibitions that would give an insight into the history of Scotland and its traditions. It was made so inclusive, meaning that there is something for everybody who attended—an event to remember for everyone who attended.

Apart from the sporting events and cultural displays, the Kuala Lumpur Highland Games proved an equal platform for the organization of various charities and community organizations to raise awareness and funds for their causes. This slightly philanthropic characteristic of the charitable games has quite some reliance on the Asian Tigers Group Malaysia, in that the company always tries to give back to the society and support initiatives that bring about positivity in the society.

In all, the Kuala Lumpur Highland Games 2016 was an event with roaring success. Asian Tigers Group Malaysia’s involvement as one of the sponsors and its active participation in the event reflects our commitment toward the community and cultural celebrations, indeed. It afforded us, as a company, a unique opportunity to interact with the diversity of the local community and impart values of teamwork and perseverance. We look forward to our continued support of the Kuala Lumpur Highland Games in contributing to the development of such a vibrant cultural event into a pre-eminent tradition on the social calendar of Kuala Lumpur.
