On April 27, 2019, Asian Tigers Group Hong Kong was proud to sponsor, and indeed without taking it for granted, be part of, AmCham’s Got Talent at the AmCham 50th Anniversary Ball – Motown Night sponsored by Hong Kong Ocean Park Marriott Hotel. This was indeed an elegant affair as the American Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong celebrated its milestone in a stylish mix of the classical ball and the unmatched high-energy Motown movers.

There was indeed thrill and excitement in the air as the guests entered into the dazzling venue. Trust Hong Kong Ocean Park Marriott Hotel to give an ideal style to such an esteemed event with its setting: elegant decor and a classy ambiance one could easily predict—a Motown Night visible in every decoration and the song that is known with nostalgia in Motown Night.

AmCham’s Got Talent was another of the highlights in this evening’s events. Various presentations and performances by talented individuals were displayed. Asian Tigers Group Hong Kong, the title sponsor for AmCham’s Got Talent for the evening, was an indispensable part of this event and has shown how organizations can help to grow talent and community spirit. Most of the contestants in the show had spent much time and energy in polishing their performances and taking the stage with enthusiasm and confidence. There were skills and heart brought out on that night by the contestants, each swinging from soulful singing and dynamic dance routines to captivating instrumental pieces.

The energy in the room was electric. Each of the acts illuminated the stage, presented themselves with absolute brilliance, and, though using vastly different forms of expression and abilities, captivated the audience. Then, naturally, there were the distinguished judges—one each from the business and broadcast worlds—who were obliged to provide critique. However, the positive and uplifting nature of their comments provided even further evidence that this was an event to remember.

Last Saturday was filled with living memories in the heat of the Motown theme. Classic Motown hits echoed all throughout the night, and a number of guests got carried and swept to the beat with the timeless artists’ tunes on the dance floor. The music was further warmed and brought into everyone’s heart with the sensational performances of AmCham’s Got Talent.

Besides entertainment, the AmCham 50th Anniversary Ball also presented a sumptuous dinner: a wide-ranging menu of delicacies awaited guests. The dinner was perfectly organized to turn into one joyful hotchpotch of tastes that got a broad palette. This was a great time to make connections, meet old business friends, and establish liaisons while enjoying a holiday atmosphere.

It was a team effort, and the involvement of Asian Tigers Group Hong Kong was most vital to its realization. Their sponsorship realized the talent show and indicated their values in community and cultural causes. The warm reception of the audience indicated the success of the endowment, characterized by impeccable organization, top-notch performances, and revelry to mark the milestone anniversaries of AmCham.
