For the second year running, Asian Tigers Malaysia delivered their commitment to breast cancer awareness by attending the ABWM Pink Lunch event at the Majestic Hotel in Kuala Lumpur on October 4th. The afternoon event, cooked up by the Association of British Women in Malaysia, saw an energetic crowd come together in solidarity and for charity.

Event Highlights

The Pink Lunch offered a lavish buffet with free-flow beverages, making the atmosphere exciting and hospitable for all guests. Many participants relish sumptuous dishes between international and local delicacies while fraternizing around to share stories of hope and resilience. The event was a great platform where guests could connect, network, and show support for a noble cause.

Supporting a Worthy Cause

First and foremost, the ABWM Pink Lunch was organized and held to collect funds for BCW in Malaysia. BCW is a charitable organization that supports, educates, and empowers persons with breast cancer through creating awareness, forming patient support groups, and advocating for better health services. All monies generated by the Pink Lunch were given to BCW for the furtherance of this work, to the benefit of those in need.

An extremely important message conveyed by the whole event was to let people think about the importance of early detection and regular checkups for breast cancer. The organizers were keen to emphasize that with early diagnosis, the percentage of successful treatment and recovery is really very high. Some resourceful doctors shared many valuable informational dosages through the event about self-examination techniques and new inventions in the treatment of breast cancer.

Asian Tigers Malaysia will continue participating and supporting Breast Cancer Awareness Month and other charitable causes in the future.
